We work in a wide range of styles: flat geometric, soft isometric, bold editorial, character-based, line art, and textured hand-drawn styles. We adapt to your brand personality - or explore style options with you if you are starting from scratch. We do not apply a single house style to every client.

We produce a style guide before any final illustrations are created. The guide defines line weight, corner radius treatment, shading approach, color palette, and spatial perspective. Every subsequent illustration is reviewed against this reference, ensuring the set feels cohesive even across different designers.

A set of six to eight UI illustrations takes two to three weeks: three to four days for style exploration and approval, then two to three days per illustration including revisions. Larger sets (15+) are typically delivered in batches so you can begin implementation while the rest are completed.

We publish hours and the rate instead of a single number, because the number is those two multiplied. Design and development is $35 per hour, QA and testing and project management are $20 per hour each. Illustration is not its own line in our estimate model: it sits inside a design engagement, at the level that carries motion, illustration and brand. Yes. We animate illustrations as Lottie JSON files for use in web and mobile products. Animated empty states, onboarding flows, and loading sequences are particularly effective at retaining user attention during otherwise dead wait times.

Yes. Character design is a specialty service. We develop the character concept, produce multiple style directions for selection, then build out a full expression sheet with emotional states, poses, and accessory variants. Characters are delivered as reusable SVG assets organized for easy recomposition.

All illustrations are delivered as SVG (infinitely scalable, web-optimized) and PNG at @1x, @2x, and @3x resolutions. Animated illustrations are delivered as Lottie JSON. We also provide the layered source file (Figma or Illustrator) so you can make future edits without starting from scratch.

Yes. We regularly create illustrations that extend an existing visual system - matching established color palettes, line weights, and stylistic conventions. We can also audit an inconsistent existing illustration library and produce a consolidated style guide to normalize it.

Unique illustrations differentiate your pages visually, which can improve engagement metrics (time on page, scroll depth) that correlate with search ranking. Properly tagged SVG illustrations also add semantic meaning. More directly, original images are not penalized for duplicate content as stock images can be.

Yes. All illustration work created under our standard agreement transfers full commercial copyright to you upon final payment. You own the work outright - no licensing fees, no usage restrictions, and no attribution required.

We include one round of revisions on the style direction and up to two revision rounds on each final illustration. Revisions within scope (adjustments to colors, expressions, or minor composition changes) are included. New concepts or style direction changes after approval are scoped separately.
