WHAT WE DO

Our AWS Engineer Expertise

Infrastructure as Code

Infrastructure as Code

We write and maintain Terraform and AWS CloudFormation configurations that define your entire infrastructure, reproducible, version-controlled, and deployable across environments with a single command.

Container Ops

Container Ops

We deploy containerised workloads to ECS Fargate and EKS, auto-scaling task definitions, ALB target group routing, service discovery, and rolling deployments with zero downtime.

Serverless Design

Serverless Design

We design and build Lambda-based serverless systems, API Gateway integrations, S3 event triggers, SQS consumer functions, and Step Functions state machines for complex async workflows.

Cloud Migration

Cloud Migration

We migrate on-premises or competing cloud workloads to AWS, assessment, lift-and-shift for legacy systems, re-platforming to managed services, and refactoring for cloud-native architecture where justified.

Security & Compliance

Security & Compliance

We configure IAM least-privilege policies, VPC network segmentation, AWS WAF rules, GuardDuty threat detection, and CloudTrail audit logging to meet security and compliance requirements.

Cost Optimisation

Cost Optimisation

We audit AWS cost reports, identify waste (over-provisioned instances, idle resources, unnecessary data transfer), recommend Reserved Instances or Savings Plans, and implement auto-scaling to match capacity to demand.

Testimonials

What Our Clients Say

What impressed us most was how Kultrix handled the full stack - frontend, backend, and mobile - with one cohesive team. Communication was clear, delivery was predictable, and the final product exceeded what we initially scoped.

Frank W.

Co-CEO

Kultrix built both our web platform and mobile app from scratch. Their team understood the complexity of our industrial workflows and translated them into clean, intuitive interfaces. We launched on time and our operators adopted the tools immediately.

Dinant V.

Co-CEO

Kultrix handled everything for us - landing page, dashboard, mobile app, and even a Chrome extension. Having one team own the entire product surface meant everything felt connected and consistent. They shipped fast and the quality speaks for itself.

Timur G.

CEO, Ping Proxies

Kultrix has been our go-to partner for multiple projects - from marketing websites to full mobile applications and backend systems. They scale up when we need speed and maintain consistency across every project. Reliable, fast, and technically strong.

Musa S.

CEO, Volume Apps

Working with Kultrix on our mobile app and backend was seamless. They brought strong product thinking to every sprint, not just code. When priorities shifted, they adapted quickly without losing momentum. Exactly the kind of partner a product team needs.

Taj S.

Product Lead, Pelago

We needed a team that could handle mobile development, server infrastructure, and AI features all at once. Kultrix delivered on all three fronts. Our fitness platform went from concept to production in under four months with zero compromises on quality.

Laurent D.

CEO, Fitblast

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

A Kultrix AWS engineer designs, builds, and maintains cloud infrastructure - not just setting up services in the console, but writing infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, implementing CI/CD pipelines, configuring security controls, establishing observability, and making architectural decisions about which AWS services to use and how to connect them. They own the infrastructure the same way a software engineer owns the application code.

Standard placement is 48 hours from contract signing. For engineers with specific AWS certifications or experience in regulated industries (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, FedRAMP), one week is typical. We match engineers based on both AWS breadth and the specific compliance or architectural context of your project.

Terraform is our default infrastructure-as-code tool - it is cloud-agnostic, widely adopted, and has excellent tooling for state management and collaborative workflows. We use AWS CDK when a project is already invested in it or when the team strongly prefers programming language-native infrastructure. Both approaches produce version-controlled, reproducible infrastructure.

Yes. Multi-environment setups (dev, staging, production, sometimes region-specific) are a standard part of our AWS engagements. We use AWS Organisations for account separation, Terraform workspaces or separate state files per environment, and IAM permission boundaries to prevent cross-environment access. Environments are identical by infrastructure definition, reducing the "works on staging, breaks on production" class of problems.

Security is configured from the first resource, not added later. We apply least-privilege IAM policies, encrypt data at rest and in transit, segment networks with VPCs and security groups, enable CloudTrail and Config for audit visibility, configure GuardDuty for threat detection, and manage secrets with AWS Secrets Manager rather than environment variables. For regulated workloads, we implement controls that map to HIPAA, SOC 2, or PCI-DSS requirements.

Yes. Cloud migrations from Azure, Google Cloud, or on-premises data centres are a common Kultrix engagement. We start with a discovery and assessment phase - inventorying workloads, mapping dependencies, and producing a migration plan with phases and risk assessment. We favour re-platforming to AWS managed services where the business case is clear, rather than a pure lift-and-shift that carries technical debt into the cloud.

Cost optimisation starts with visibility - we set up AWS Cost Explorer, Cost Anomaly Detection, and resource tagging to identify what is spending money and what is wasted. Common improvements include right-sizing EC2 instances, replacing always-on instances with auto-scaled or serverless alternatives, purchasing Reserved Instances or Savings Plans for stable workloads, and eliminating idle resources like unused EBS volumes or idle load balancers.

Yes. CI/CD pipeline configuration is a standard deliverable. We use GitHub Actions with OIDC-based AWS authentication (no long-lived access keys), ECR for container image storage, CodeDeploy or ECS rolling deployments, and CloudFormation stack deployment. Pipelines include automated testing, security scanning, and manual approval gates for production deployments.

Yes. Disaster recovery architecture depends on your RTO and RPO targets. We implement backup-based recovery with AWS Backup, pilot-light or warm-standby setups with cross-region RDS read replicas, or active-active multi-region architectures for zero-downtime requirements. We document the runbook and test the recovery procedure, not just configure the resources.

We instrument applications with structured logs (sent to CloudWatch Logs), metrics (CloudWatch Metrics or Prometheus via Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus), and distributed traces (AWS X-Ray or OpenTelemetry). Dashboards, alerts, and on-call runbooks are part of the setup - we do not consider a service production-ready until it has meaningful alerting on business-critical paths.

The minimum engagement is one month. Infrastructure projects often have a concentrated build phase followed by an ongoing maintenance and evolution retainer. Most clients transition to a lighter retainer after the initial build to cover ongoing management, incident response, and platform changes.

Monthly retainer and time-and-materials models are both available. Infrastructure work often benefits from a retainer to ensure consistent availability for operational needs alongside planned project work. Both models include weekly progress reports, transparent timesheets, and a dedicated account manager.
